Welcome to Adath Jeshurun!

We are the oldest affiliate of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism west of Chicago, yet one of the newest synagogues.  We are a progressive, egalitarian, and sacred community dedicated to Torah (learning and tradition), Avodah  (prayer and spirituality), and Gemilut Hasadim (acts of loving kindness).

Our second urban facility in Minneapolis housed three generations of memories, and saw the development and training of scores of religious and lay leaders.  But it had become both inadequate and distant for most of our members.  Realizing that we are the congregation, not the physical structure, we planted anew in the "fields" of our once rural Kallah Center.

In 1995, following a two-year construction effort, our 1200+ member families dedicated a magnificent 75,000 square foot suburban facility with space for all of the congregation's religious services, social events, education programs and administrative functions.  While the building is contemporary and exciting, its major architectural elements reflect the congregation's history and help realize its mission.  The use of stone throughout the spaces for prayer and learning reminds us of our Jewish history and the generations of the congregation.  Three indoor arches at the entrance to the Grand Foyer recall Adath's former synagogue and the three "pillars" of the congregation's mission – Torah, service, and good deeds.  Visit our beautiful, 1200-seat  Sanctuary!
